Product Description
Non Slip Additive is a fine slip reducing additive powder for a wide variety of sealers and coatings such as the Clear Concrete Sealer, Coloured Concrete Sealer or our Polyurethane Coating. Sealed concrete surfaces become slippery, particularly when wet, making conditions less safe for pedestrians and vehicles. The Right Choice Clear Low Sheen Non-Slip Additive imparts smooth, very fine particles to the surface of floor sealing systems to create a safer, non-slip surface.
Non Slip Additive is particularly useful around wet surfaces including; pools, factory loading docks, access ramps, stairs, entrance foyers and other public pedestrian and vehicle areas. Non Slip Additive is self-suspending and available in either a 20# (coarse) or 50# (fine) powder and is mixed into the sealer prior to application.

Theoretical Spread Rate:
- Minimum = 250gr per 20ltrs (1 x bag)
- Maximum = 500gr per 20ltrs (2 bags)
- Typical = 250gr per 20ltrs ( 1 x bag)
*Note: Right Choice cannot provide any information relating to how to achieve a particular slip rating, ie; P3 or P5. This is due to the fact that every substrate is different in porosity etc which can greatly affect the slip rating. It is advisable to do several test sections first to determine the quantity required to obtain the desired slip rating or alternatively have the test patches professionally slip tested.

- Please note, if you have purchased the Non Slip Additive prior to the 9th of October 2025 (we now have a new formula), then a different application is recommended. If you purchased after this date, then follow the instructions below “Application Method for Mixing into the Sealer”.
- Instructions for product purchased prior to 9th Oct 2025 – Take small handfuls and throw high in the air to allow the non slip particles to land naturally in the 1st coat of wet sealer. Once the 1st coat is dry, roll another coat over the top to lock it all in to the 1st coat.
Application Method for Mixing into the Sealer:
* Note: 1-2 bags are added to 20ltrs of sealer and the Non Slip Additive is applied in both coats.
Mix the sealer thoroughly before adding the Non Slip Additive. Pour 1-2 bags (250gr – 500gr) of the Non Slip Additive into 20ltrs of sealer and stir thoroughly once again. Leave the drill & paddle in the sealer whilst applying. Give the sealer and the Non Slip Additive a good stir periodically whilst applying the sealer. This ensures that the sealer stays suspended and does not pool on the bottom of the drum.

This stuff is brilliant and easy to apply to the first coat of clear concrete sealer. You need to apply a second coat of the latter course. This fine glass is much coarser than the fine grip paint additive that you can buy from the hardware stores. However this doesn’t last that long.
