    Product Description

    Non Slip Additive is a fine slip reducing additive for a wide variety of sealers and coatings such as the Clear Concrete Sealer or Polyurethane Coating. Sealed concrete surfaces become slippery, particularly when wet, making conditions less safe for pedestrians and vehicles. The Right Choice Clear Low Sheen Non Slip Additive imparts smooth, tumbled glass particles to the surface of floor sealing systems to create a safer, non-slip surface. Particle sizes are 0.45mm – 0.62mm.

    Non Slip Additive is particularly useful around ‘wet surfaces’ including pools, factory loading docks, access ramps, stairs, entrance foyers and other public pedestrian and vehicle areas.

    Coverage Rates

    Theoretical Spread Rate (m2 per kg of non-slip additive)

    • Minimum = 5m2 per kg
    • Maximum = 10m2 per kg
    • Typical = 7m2 per kg

    *Note: Right Choice is not able to provide any information relating to how to achieve a particular slip rating, ie; P3 or P5. This is due to the fact that every substrate is different in porosity etc which can greatly effect the slip rating. It is advisable to do several test sections first to determine the quantity required to obtain the desired slip rating or alternatively have the test patches professionally slip tested.

    Suggested Application Method:

    Take small amounts of non-slip additive in your hand and throw high up into the air to allow the non-slip additive to land naturally in the 1st coat of sealer. Ensure to apply it to the 1st coat whilst the sealer is still wet, so apply as you go. Allow the 1st coat to dry and then roll the 2nd coat of sealer over it to lock the non-slip additive in.

      Great for non slip although my husband couldn’t get the art of spreading it evenly.

      Easy to use and works well

      This stuff is brilliant and easy to apply to the first coat of clear concrete sealer. You need to apply a second coat of the latter course. This fine glass is much coarser than the fine grip paint additive that you can buy from the hardware stores. However this doesn’t last that long.
